For years, I neglected myself. I never thought It was this bad until I could no longer work because of my health. Mental and physical stress my body was under. I was smiling on the outside but in tremendous pain inside. 

One day I said I had enough. Just like that, I changed my eating to plant-based, I started to meditate, and I began to exercise. Most importantly, I began to view life from the lens of being the only one who can control my life results!

240 pounds to 170 pounds

I remember being in my late 20’s and experiencing heart palpitations that would stop me in my tracks because it felt like I died then was revived. After a few of them regularly and my doctor telling me there’s nothing to worry about, I soon adopted it as my everyday life. I no longer was concerned about when they would happen. When I turned to a plant-based diet, my heart symptoms stopped. 

I also had weight issues. I was overweight by 163 pounds. With the extra weight, my knees and back would hurt often. Sometimes the back pain would keep me lying down for hours or days. I turned plant-based lost weight and the knee and back pain. 

The last straw that prompted me to change my eating to 100% plant-based is when I noticed I was unable to think clearly. I was able to start processing a thought but would lose the idea in the middle of thinking and unable to retrieve it for a long time. Another symptom was when I could not process a simple thought quickly. I would start but could not get past the initial process to develop it into a complete thought. It was like I was stuttering in my head. Now, this was the last straw. I’m in my late 30’s and I can not lose my mind. I took action. I became plant-based and never looked back.
